Bergamot Assam Tea (Earl Grey) is a refined Taiwanese interpretation of one of the world’s most iconic tea blends, combining smooth black tea with bright citrus notes of natural bergamot zest. The result is a balanced and elegant cup where freshness and depth work in harmony.
Unlike many mass-market versions, this tea focuses on preserving the character of the leaf. The bergamot is applied with a light touch, enhancing the tea rather than dominating it, allowing both elements to remain clearly defined.
Grown in Taiwan at elevations of around 700 metres, this tea benefits from a stable mountain climate, fertile soil, and careful cultivation. The base is a Taiwanese-style Assam black tea, known for its smooth texture and reduced bitterness, providing a clean and structured foundation.
The taste is smooth and expressive, with notes of citrus zest, soft florals, and gentle malty depth. The bergamot adds brightness and clarity, leading to a clean, slightly sweet, and well-rounded finish without harshness.
